Higher Calling

This band came together in the summer of 2005. Since then, through prayer and commitment to the cause, everything has fallen into place. Steve, the band leader, cast a vision to see a youth music department open up at his church. God sent the singers and musicians that were needed to begin. Not only did He send anyone, He sent the best! We have the best team anyone could ask for!My brother, Derek, is our tremendous up and coming bass player. I am excited about what God has in store for him.One of my best friends, Jordan Jenkins, is our crazy sweet drummer. This kid can match up with anybody! I definitely can't go without mentioning Jared Condon and Preston Keller. These two young men are very good at what they do, and God is using them mightily. Jared plays guitar and Preston plays percussion with us whenever they are able to. They both played on our first demo recording. These guys have been a blessing to us. Also, our youth praise team creates the full group that performs every Friday night and some Sundays as well. Our singers work hard to usher in a great spirit of praise and worship. We thoroughly believe that we have a Higher Calling to uplift people who may need it, and to use our music to bring sinners to an altar of repentance. Music affects the emotions of people. We thrive on that, and strive to bring encouraging messages to people who are in need. So many times, I have found myself in time of desperation where all I could do is give God a praise and believe He can come through. He loves to watch His people praise Him, and He promised He would inhabit and dwell in the midst of our praises. Our goal is to create an atmosphere for God to dwell in, and bring the many blessings we know He can bring. We have a Higher Calling of praise and worship!!! I am excited about where we are headed!
