It's Complicated

I still remember when thirty was old...

About Me

I am a work in progress. Today, I am the sum of all the days and choices and experiences of all the moments before this one. I am a mother. My son is the delight of my existence. I am a daughter...loved without limits. I am a sister to the girl that is my other half. To my brothers who own so much of my heart. I am a girlfriend, to a man that deserves so much better than me, yet loves me as I am. I am a friend...who has the most amazing friends... I am optimistic. I am afraid. I laugh a lot. I cry sometimes. I'm kinda of a dork...but I like it. Having my back tickled reminds me how wonderful it is to be alive! People fascinate (Thanks Jene, for the correct spelling of fascinate!) me. I want to hear what you have to say..."Some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice. from what i've tasted of desire, I side with those who favor fire."found this girls layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments

My Interests

Boys with glasses. Good books. Wine (In a bottle, and i'll admit it, in a box) Clever people. Red headed little skater boys (specifically, my own). Salt. Sleeping while we're holding hands. Jeopardy!. The Mystery of the Red Pants. Boxers and Tank tops. MAC Makeup. My Patio. Potatoes cooked any way. The sun the moon the stars. Sad music. Happy endings."always fight. always fight until you can't fight anymore. and then be fought for."

I'd like to meet:

Tom Brady, Jodi Picoult, Brad Meltzer, Billy Joel, and God.

Music:

" I think I just heard THE lamest song ever...My lumps? My Humps and Bumps? Holy cow folks.....this may be a definite sign of the apocalypse. My current favorite songs that I need a certain person to burn onto a CD for me.... *Over My Head (Cable Car)* The Fray, *Statue* The Low Millions, *Fix You* Coldplay, *Cool* Gwen Stefani, *Come a Little Closer* Deirks Bentley. Then there are my classic favorite songs. *Romeo and Juliet* Dire Straights, *One Love* U2, Anything by Elton John..."BBBBBennnie" Anything by Billy Joel.

Movies:

It's been many moons since i've seen a movie that wasn't a kid movie. However, Sky High was freaking hilarious...kid movie not withstanding! Shawshank Redemption is the best movie ever. Period.

Television:

I'd rather not. Unless it's Basketball (Go Kings!) or Football. I love me some Patriots!!!

Books:

Mmmmmm books...I love books, I read all the time (300+ books last year.) I know, I count how many books I read in a year...i'm a dork but I'm okay with that. Really. Jodi Picoult. Get your hands on her books by any measn possible. A good emotional bludgeoning is life affirming. Some of my favorites: *Tell No One* *Gone for Good* Harlan Coben, *The Millionaires* Brad Meltzer (Everything by him is good) *The Deep End of the Ocean* Jacquelyn Mitchard, *The DiVinci Code* Dan Brown. *Atlas Shrugged* Ayn Rand, *Until I Find You* John Irving (800 pages...that wasn't just reading...it was an event!) *The Throat* *Shadowland* Peter Straub, *The Green Mile* Stephen King, *The Crimson Petal and the White* (The author's name escapes me, all apologies.) J.K. Rowling is a genius. Oh, and the list goes on... May I suggest a few authors that you should under no circumstances read? Catherine Coulter for starters. New York Times Best Selling Author, yet for the life of me I cannot understand how such a crappy writer acheived such status. Jackie Collins, Danielle Steel or ANY "romance novel" (These are not novels, folks!) If I want Porn Lite I do not read romance novels. I read Maxim. Remember, reading is not only fun....it's fundamental. "And they were working away in the kitchen in thier white coats and paper hats. They looked like surgeons. Surgeons making soup." ~Tom Cockey *Backstabber*

Heroes:

Drew, who is the best person I have ever known. My mom, who loves me without limits. Aubrey Kay Jones, who inspires me every day. People who live their dreams. Or people who can at least figure out what the dream is supposed to be....
