About Me

Bitterman started spinning records in 2002 after some previous beat production. His main ideas and methods revolve around blending hip-hop and drum n bass together. By combining one hip-hop record with one drum n bass record, very unique textures and rhythms are created. This works because the drum n bass (around 180 bpm) is exactly twice the speed of the hip-hop (around 90 bpm). Even if these two types of music were not inteded to be mixed together, Bitterman considers it his mission to explore, expose and refine this unique style. You can currently catch him on the promotion trail, trying to go everywhere and promote both the new Switch weekly event (Tuesday nights @ The berkeley cafe-for free) and the NC drum n bass beat battle. Big things are in the works, so Bitterman is always seeking strong alliances, opportunities, and talent.
