Akeem Brodie was born June 10th, 1982 at Sentra Hospital in Norfolk, VA. He was automatically stamped as a peculiar child because of his premature birth and abnormalities. Growing up, Akeem was more of a writer than a music lover. He used his writing skills to gain acceptance from his peers to uplift his spirit of abandonment, depression, and frustration. As a child he could not confide in anyone. He was searching for a voice, although he had little knowledge of what Hip Hop was all about. It would not sink in and overtake him until his eyes matched his ears. When songs like Public Enemy's "Don't Believe the Hype", Biggie's "Juicy", Tupac's "Brenda's Got a Baby", and Nas's "If I Ruled the World" correlated with his community and living situation, he instantly zeroed in on his purpose. Which was touching lives through the super power of music. At the tender age of 13, after nomadic experiences in VA, he migrated to the Metropolitan area with his family. Akeem now holds the title of producer, songwriter, and artist. Now living in Jacksoville Fl., he is still following his dream. Akeem's music appeals to all, he speaks about the happenings of the world, and how life should be. If you take a listen to his music, there is a guarantee that you will instantly become a fan.
