The Electric Earth Band was founded on the idea that the great hard rock acts of the '70s, the best of whom forged an essential chapter in musical history, had largely been forgotten. Remember hearing Robin Trower, Nazareth, or Montrose for the first time? How 'bout Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Kiss, Black Sabbath, early Bowie and Cheap Trick? Or vintage Aerosmith, Bad Company, Jethro Tull, Humble Pie, and Grand Funk. Each band had their own unique personality, and you knew exactly who they were the second you heard them. Over time, some of the hits from these bands have been preserved on the playlists of "classic rock" radio formats, but those tunes have been played into the ground, neutered, in many cases reduced to nostalgic clichés - and robbed of the freshness, energy, and edge they once had - especially when played live.That's where we come in.Our playlist is compiled from the bands and songs that fueled our drive to be musicians, and we still feel passion when we cover their music. Between the outstanding musicianship we each had to offer in this group, and the volume of like-minded music lovers we've encountered who also miss hearing those great classic rock tunes played live, we all agreed it was long overdue for this music to be performed in a way that rekindled its energy and spirit, making it as fun and exhilarating as you remember.Our renditions of the songs are faithful to the records, with little alteration, to recreate the experience of listening to that particular band. The emphasis is on the songs, and we know you'll have a great time if you have any interest in hearing this era brought back to life in its purest form.We feel that anyone, local, corporate or private, would be proud to add us to their entertainment roster.
