Born and raised in Hollis Queens the most fertile ground in Hip Hop, Storm Jefferson AKA Storm6 has always been a musical spounge. "I went to IS 192 and that was right on 205th and Hollis Ave" says Storm reflecting on musical beginnings. "That was like ’83, ’84 so I would see DMC every day out there drinkin 40’s, and that was a incredible influence on me"
"By the time I went to high school I had already founded 2 rap groups, excelled in all areas of hip hop and made powerfull allies in the process. " I learned how to rap to be the lead rapper in my group, then I would learn how to d.j. just to be the dj in my other group. That was me ... ima visionary."
Fast fowarding to the 90’s Storm was a member of the legendary underground group Tha Bodysnatcas. After gettin a raw deal from Untouchable Records Storm turned his attention to working on the other side of the glass as a mix engineer. After landing a dream job at Chung King studios in NYC Storm became one of the most sought after enginneers of that time. "I did the Miseducation album..., once I did that Wycleff scooped me up for the Booga Basment, then Blackground scooped me up for the Allaiah and Tank stuff. I was just blessed to work with the best of the best."
During that time Storm was also able to squeeze out a album of his own. He reunited with his Bodysnatcha crew now called Four Five Six and penned the underground smash Nu Day Dawnin. "I would sneak niggas in the studio while I was workin on other artist projects. One night I had Krayze Bone in one room and my group in another studio. Im runnin back and forth recording 2 songs at one time! that shit was crazy !!!!
Now with the help of his management team 13Ghotz mgnt, Storm is one of the most sought after songwriters in the game. "I just learned from every artist, producer, and songwrter that I ever worked with and now IM A BEAST!!!!! With several major releases in the helm Storm6 is practicing a little patience.
