My name is Jayme and I attend Old Dominion University where I am an Art Major with a concentration in Print and Photo Media.
I am interested in many different types of photography. Anything that catches my eye may be my next photo. I work with all digital photography, I use a Nikon D100, and I love it!
Right now, I am interested in shooting portraiture in an artistic unconventional way. I have been using my family and close friends as my models, and they are pretty open to my new ideas. I like to arrange people to fit an idea I have in my mind, and incorporate a political/current event overtone. For example, last semester when the debate on gay marriage was the hot topic, I used my sister and a girl friend to be my models and help me convey my feelings on the whole issue. I am also interested in band photography, conventional portraiture, and photography incorporated with graphic design.I am very influenced by Julia Margaret Cameron, Anna Gaskell, Asian Art, religion/God, politics, fantasy, death, feminism, Art Neuevo, sexuality, war, music (heavy metal), fairy tales and all of my teachers.
