In Late July 2006 Goat Fuck was born. This side project was made up of 3 members: Chris Lapham-Guitar, Aaron Garrett-Drums, and Aaron Doughty-Vocals. The band started out as fun side project, and eventually got a couple of shows at a local venue, know as Skelletones.
As the months passed this "side Project" became more serious. We didnt get many shows due to the name having the "F" word in it, so we all came to a decision to have a name change...."Angelic Vomit". The name was suitable for shows and advertising.
All of us managed to snag a good dozen or more shows as Angelic Vomit. We played alot of mixed genre shows...even a show in a barn. But in January 2007 we stumbled upon an amazing guitarist named Matt slomski. He was too valuable to let go, so we put him up as our 2nd guitarist.
Our first show with Matt was in late January in Edmore, Michigan at "Canibal Fest".
A short time after the show in Edmore, Aaron Garrett's brother Marcus gave us a tickle on our nuts. He suggested a new name for the band...Decompose My Darling Daughter. The four of us once again liked the name, and changed it.
In February 2007(a couple days after playing a house show) the vocalist Aaron Doughty quit the band. This struck a problem for the members.
After talking with some people all of us in DMDD found a new vocalist named Josie. She worked with the band mates and learned all of the songs relativley fast. After Josie's appearance in the band, DMDD got a bass player named Matt Meppalink. DMDD played many more shows in a period of about three months.
In May 2007, after playing a show at Skelletones, Matt Slomski(lead guitarist) quit. This was the main ball buster. DMDD remained in a band with just Josie, Chris, Matt M., and Zebra. They didnt practice for months, and this soon led to DMDD's death.
July 2007 a new band was about to form. "Of Wolf" created by guitarist Gregg Hamshire. The line-up was: Matt Slomski(old DMDD guitarist), Aaron Garrett(old DMDD drummer), Gregg Hamshire(Guitar), Aaron Doughty(old DMDD vocalist) and Matt Meppalink(old DMDD bassist).
Of Wolf's first gig was on September 14th 2007 at the Five One in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The show didnt exactly go as planned, but it was a fresh start.
The band played 4 more shows from September 2007 to December 2007. In January 2008 Matt Slomski quit Of Wolf for good reason. The band decided to go on without him, as Gregg was an amazing guitarist as well, and didnt mind working alone. A short while after Matt leaving the band, Gregg quit due to personal reasons. But there was good news...we had another guitarist by the name of Dave who was determined to make something of his talent.
We all continued with the name "Of Wolf" with Dave, Aaron, and Aaron, and Matt Meppalink. After a month of writting we decided to take the name "Decompose My Darling Daughter" again. All of us thought that we would have a better chance to get out there, as DMDD was already well known in the Grand Rapids area, and Of Wolf wasnt.
Matt Slomski(after a month of thinking about it) made the decision to come back to the band, and play his amazing fingers.
Now here we stand today: Dave-Guitar, Matt S.-Guitar/vocals, Matt M.-Bass, Aaron(zebra)-Drums, and Aaron D.-Lead Vocals.
