BIOGRAPHY
Rob Butler is a songwriter and musician based in Sheffield, England. He wrote his first song at the tender age of seven and having rediscovered his love for making music in his mid-teens, he has written dozens of songs since the turn of the millennia. Rob's main instruments are guitar (acoustic, electric and classical) and vocal, though he has also been known to play bass, percussion, keyboard and harmonica, albeit to varying degrees of competence!
At present, Rob is currently writing material to establish a corpora of songs, mainly pop-rock in their nature whilst encompassing numerous other genres, with the intention of recording and publishing the songs in the near future. In line with this Rob also gigs prolifically around Sheffield as a solo artist.
Rob is also currently the guitarist, backing vocalist and one of the founding members of the newly-formed Sheffield rock band Miseria Lost. Their Myspace can be found at www.myspace.com/miserialost
If you would like to get in touch with Rob, whether it's booking him for a gig, as a session musician or for musical collaboration, or indeed just for a chat, feel free to get in touch via a Myspace message and he will be more than happy to reply. Cheers!

In their three years together, Ten Foot Dolls played numerous nationwide tours and gained rave reviews for their energetic live performances and catchy riffs. The video below features James Morwood on guitar.
August 2005-March 2008 - A Magic Bullet

During his stint at university in Sheffield, Rob played guitar and sang in the "acoustic-folky-pop-rock" band A Magic Bullet, with a line-up which included violin and the occasional mandolin. Unfortunately due to post-university commitments the band decided to part, but fellow guitarist Sam Browse has since established himself as a name to watch on the acoustic folk scene.
