BIOGRAPHY 1995 On the ruin of the death metal band EXTRAXE, after necessary personal changes was created a new union. Its name was LOCOMOTIVE. This band in its creation preserved necessary death metal brutality but it also started to adopt and use other branches of hard and aggressive music. The band spent almost whole year creating a new material. They were composing new songs writing lyrics and prepering for live shows.1996 LOCOMOTIVE released their 1st demo. Reactions on their new release were so positive that LOCOMOTIVE decided to address several labels to find somebody who could release ther debut album, unfortunately without success. The band LOCOMOTIVE was officialy baptised during the Litomice Dynamo - North Power Jam Festival 1996, where they surprised not only audience but also profesional critics because of their profesionality and impressive stage performance. Till the end of 1996 LOCOMOTIVE toured with local bands like KRABATHOR, BORON and many others, mostly on the stages of South Bohemian region.1997 At the beginning of 1997 band baptized their first album, whitch was released on their own expenses. For the first time LOCOMOTIVE hits Slovakia in spring, where they played together with PRO-PAIN, THE SPUDMONSTERS, GURD. They also shared stage with KRABATHOR, RYKER´S, LABERINTO, GRIP INC.. Their 1997 tour in Czech and Slovak republic where aproximate number of viewers was about 350. During winter band prepared a new follower of their successful debut. It name was "Homo Sapiens".1998 "Homo Sapiens" was introduced to the world in spring 1998 during the shows with PRO-PAIN, GURD, PISSING RAZORS and FURY OF FIVE. Thanks to positive responses we could see LOCOMOTIVE playing at festivals like "Noc Plná Hvezd" or "Nuclear Storm". Many other gigs band went through with BORON or TORTHARRY. 1998 ended with 5 week tour where highlight was performance with legendary AGNOSTIC FRONT, promising STRAIGHT FACED and eccelent DROPKICK MURPHY´S.1999 The second LOCOMOTIVE album was recorded in may in Hacienda studios irovnice. Guys spent together with their producer Milo "Dodo" Doleal whole mounth in studio. Album was titled "Nejsme nic" ("We are nothing"). The album considering czech conditions, has unusualy goodquality sound. Material used on this album is full of aggressive and brutal merciless music whitch is on the other side combined with emotional and pleasant tones. In lyrics are described dark sides of human nature and interpersonal relationships, also mentioned are relationships of "men versus nature" from that less optimistic side. Because this material is realy kicking, band decided to record English version of this album. Thanks to this piece of work were LOCOMOTIVE chosen to play in Austria and were also chosen by music mag SPARK to play at music fair MUZIKA 99. They were introduced there as one the most talented band in Czech hard scene side by side ARAKAIN and MUTE DEAFNESS. Czech version was released in October 1999.2000 In the beginning of the year Marek Ciml the guitarist leaved the band. But LOCOMOTIVE goes and release the album We are nothing which was promoted with successfull tour with COLP & Polish band SWEET NOISE. Second guitar was played by Paste from COLP. Band continued in touring across the Europe until the end of spring when they accepted new guitarist Roman Rivnac. This guy played a few concerts & festivals and also the gig with MACHINE HEAD. After this he leaved the band and was replaced by Robert Kubik from Deathmetal band SIAX. To the end of the year they played together about 15 concerts. On the autumn LOCOMOTIVE finished the work on their own rehearsalroom which was rebuilded to small demostudio called LOCO. In june LOCOMOTIVE played in Prague with MACHINE HEAD and DIMENSION SEVEN before 2500 visitors2001 LOCOMOTIVE prepering new stuff for next album in their studio. At the end of the year they toured with Dimension seven , Shatter, Creasing Grease and Porksoda. It was full 10 days of headbanging and cool atmosphere. Band made 8 new songs both in Czech and English language.2002 Band toured with Dimension Seven in Holland in may . Till the end of 2002 LOCOMOTIVE played over 20 gigs, realised video for We All song and finished 12 new songs for upcomming album which will follow in april 2003.2003 In May LOCOMOTIVE released new album called Ornament z pijavic . For support of this piece of shit band toured 3 weeks through Europe with DIMENSION SEVEN and CANCELLED. In summer LOCOMOTIVE played few festivals side by side with bands like TESTAMENT, MALEVOLENT CREATION or KATAKLYSM.2004 Band supported last album Ornament z pijavic by intensive clubtouring and festival performances. LOCOMOTIVE prepared new songs for oncoming EP and rebuilded their studio LOCO for better comfort. In october Rob starts his activities with polular grindcore band INGROWING where he replaced leavin´guitar player. In the end of the year band occupate the recording studio Hacienda where they recorded new EP.If you like hard and aggressive music, which also makes sense, you have accelent chance to hear LOCOMOTIVE.
