Dom Marianni (The Stems) descibes Loads as 'Modtastic' and we were lucky enough to have Dom and Nick Shepherd (The Clash) at our monthly residency in the Velvet Lounge as The DomNicks ... and what a show that was!

Throughout 2009 Loads will be appearing in The Velvet Lounge at the Scotsman (Mount Lawley) on the third or fourth Friday of every month with more original bands and DJs spinning tunes; so keep checking the gig guide out above to keep tabs. Next show is on the 15th May and we've got The New Invincibles as guests so should be great fun!
Columbia have also kindly invited us to play one of their residency gigs at The Newport (Freo) on the 24th May, and the band will also be appearing at a special charity event organised by the Paradise Lost Scooter Club and hosted at Devilles Pad on the 31st May (public holiday weekend) ... good news is this has sold out ... but bad news if you haven't got a ticket!
And for those that haven't met the nutters ... Loads are among Perth's longest established original bands and have played with many of Australia's finest, including Even, The Stems, The Panics, Little Birdy and The Sleepy Jackson. They were also one of two options to support Paul Wellar at his Perth gig in 2008 ... and despite not getting the gig they were chuffed as muck regardless!
