About Me

You know it is time for people to understand just what SuperBruce is all about. I am the product of a divorce. My Dad and Mom divorced back in the mid '70's. When I was 6 years taht left mom to raise us 6 kids. My moms first Boyfriend after the divorce was Bill and he was what I consider to be one of the most influencial men in my life. He was disciplined and gave us the confidence to do things. Unfortunately Bill died of cancer a fews years later. Unfortunately for the rest of my time living at home with mom I never had another positive male role model. The few men mom dated after Bill were unfortunately a string of drunks. So I did not have a positive role model until I went to high school. There I met 2 men who would influance and challenge me. They were Mr. Stenta, an English teacher and Mr. Specht who would be my math and shop instructot. Mr. Stenta taught me that English can be fun, enjoyable and a great way of self expression. Mr. Specht taught me to think for myself and what I believe in and not what others think.I can and have done pretty much anything for work in life: I am a Dad, and have been / work as a Plumber, Electrician, Carpenter, General Laborer, Salesman, Electronics Technician, Telephone Operator, Receptionist, Computer and Network Technician, Mechanic, Painter, Landscaper, Lumberjack, farm hand and I am only 38 just wait and see me in the next 20 years! What a ride! For those of you sarcastic enough to ask: Why so many jobs SuperBruce? You must have been fired a lot. (LOL) No, I have only been fired once and have only quit two jobs in anger, the rest I left on good terms. A few I was called back to when the time was necessary for my help.I am extremely intelligent (If you want my IQ score go ahead and ask) and enjoy diversity. We are all god’s children. You are what you make of yourself. Other than telling you about myself in this post I do not normally brag or boast about me. I know better than that. My kids however I never shut up about. I am a lover of life and a sinner. I know that we serve a purpose, mine is to be better than I was yesterday and to and find my way to a better tomorrow. In shape? Round is a shape! Dammit where’s my Doritos’s and Salsa. I am a redneck at heart and have lived in: Greenfield, Worcester, Brookline, Charlemont, Turners Falls, Gill, Erving MA and several other small towns in Vermont and New Hampshire. I live in Greenfield, MA right now with my wife, son and Eve our dog.I am the 5th of 6 children so everything was a hand me down. My sibling Roster reads oldest to youngest: Barbara – Alive and living in Washington State John – Deceased in 1989 - Gunshot to the head Willis – Alive living 2 streets over from me Juanita – Who knows where she is when she last called she was in Florida heading for Alabama SuperBruce – Alive and well in Greenfield, MA James – Alive and guarding something in San Antonio TXPerson I miss the most: Mom she was my rock in the maelstrom that is life. Person I admire the most: Alexander the Great People that piss me off: Non doers and "I Cant's" ---(I know really bad english here but it's all I have right now.) I have learned to do things the old fashioned way and THINK POSITIVE! Get the education you need to get the job done then do it.My # 1 and regret: A mistake in judgment back in high school that changed the course of my life...I know that to get ahead in and to enjoy life you need 1.)Someone who loves you and that you love 2.)You have to work hard. Nothing worth doing is done only half way. And to that end I believe that through maximum effort we achieve maximum results.I am a workaholic, this has almost cost me my marriage on several occasions. However recently SuperBruce’s Wife turned to him and said “Thank you for everything. Through the years you have always worked hard to give the kids and me what we want and need and have been an excellent provider.” That is the attitude of my partner talking not me and is what makes my life worth it!I am polite and believe that courtesy is not dead just forgotten by most. However even with every thing that I can and have done I have a very poor self image (And am starting to believe that is why I push so hard to achieve.) and have allowed myself to fall into despair. I have lost all control and desire over what I eat. To that end I have added an additional 35lbs to my small 5’5” frame and am at a whopping 285lbs. SuperBruce needs to man up and get this under control before 40 hits.
