I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

My name is Shannon. I am a freelance photographer.
I was born and raised in San Diego, CA and have lived in various parts of
this beautiful county throughout my 38 years of life.
I have been seriously involved in photography for about 8 years.
I got my first SLR camera in the year 2000. I bought it used from a co-worker
at the wildlife rehabilitation center where I was employed at the time.
I began taking photos of animals at the facility, and was quite honored
when those photos were sold to weekend visitors as a fund-raiser.
I was bitten by the photography bug with the very first click of the shutter!
My passion for using my camera to find ways of representing all that our beautiful planet has to offer
was immediate - and has continued to grow with every photo I shoot.
I knew then that I wanted to make photography my life's work.
I dreamed of a day when I could take photos full-time.
While I have taken the occasional break from shooting, I have always been drawn back to it.
And now photography is in my life to stay!
In 2007, I realized my dream of starting my own photography business.
The Natural Photo
I have built a website ( thenaturalphoto.com ) to represent not only
my work as a photographer, but my journey through life.
The photos, the lighting, the focus, the angles - this is how I see our world.
It is beautiful.
I want to capture as much of it as I can with my camera and lens
and share it with you!!
As a freelance photographer, my intent is to reach out to as many people as I possibly can.
If you are in need of someone to capture images of any kind, I want to meet YOU!!!
My goal is to bring quality photography to everyone who needs or wants it ...
at a rate everyone can afford!
I will work on any project and with any budget ...
I want to earn the opportunity to bring you the quality photographic results you are looking for.
I currently reside with my wonderful family in Chula Vista, CA.
San Diego County is my home base,
but I am willing to travel anywhere for the right project.
Photograhpy is more that just what I do.
It is a part of who I am.
If you have questions about me or my work, please feel free to contact me:
