As for me, I married my high school sweetheart, moved to the family farm and got my Nursing degree. Then I settled down to wait for the "happily ever after" part.
I've taken care of others as a Registered Nurse for 11 years. I recently QUIT, after a serious bout of caregiver burn-out. With God's not so subtle prompting, I am now a full time freelance writer! Check out my company's website, Matthew Twelve Mindset!
God has truly blessed me in allowing me to pursue my passion for writing. I am not sure where it will lead to yet, I'm leaving that up to the Boss. I have rearranged my priorities and am trying to stay on track and keep my focus on Christ. I am learning to surrender to Christ each and every day. Submission is not exactly in my vocabulary, so it's a real challenge!
My hubby spends his days blowing things up and putting things back together. He can fix almost anything and is especially fond of his toolboxes(they're red and from SnapOn Tools). He's a little accident prone, I think partly because he's crazy and will do things that normal people think are too dangerous. So far, it's worked out ok for him, but we may need to start collecting spare body parts for him soon. He's pretty quiet, generally avoids people like the plague and has had the same best friend since the third grade.
I have two wonderful boys, Chase and Zac. They are gorgeous and amaze me every day. They keep me hopping! They are great kids and love each other intensely. I love being a mother, you get to watch cartoons, poke frogs with sticks, play with play dough and just be goofy if you feel like it. Not to mention the hugs, kisses, tickle parties and laughs are great perks! 8-)
I have a pretty nice looking brother who is in the Air Force and comes home to make his nephews his future accomplices. I think he's a MySpace legend, but I'm not sure. He now schmoozes high school kids into signing up to serve their country in the United States Air Force while he gets his degree in marketing.
I basically spend all of my time with my boys when I'm not praying, writing or reading. I LOVE to read! I devour books, usually 4 or 5 a week. I eat, breathe and dream in sentences!
