Live and let live. Cheers to that...

About Me

My Bio: Pete is an up and coming photographer whose style and influence comes from a love of fine art and extensive industry experience. Pete’s focus is on the shoot objective and the subject’s persona. This forethought sets up meaningful spontaneity in line with the brief when it is needed most. Pete strives for raw detail, impact lighting and leading composition. His unconventional, no-nonsense personality creates an approach that is quick and to the point with a photo journalistic edge. This, coupled with his post production skills as a pioneer high-end retouch artist, make for well crafted and interesting photography. ---------- For everything else I'm a typical Gemini always on the go yet always not. If you understand what I mean we're on the same page, well off the book altogether. The most important thing in my life is the people around me, don't care to keep up with the Jones, not into fads or money, anti consumerism, just like to make the most of each day and enjoy what adventures life brings up. I go out to bars, and generally hang out with friends, always up for a 1am random call to get on it. I’m interested in what most people have to offer so I like introducing myself and chatting with anyone. Appreciate having great family and friends I can trust. Like the alternative scene but too lazy to show it. Get bored easily so I'm always putting myself in the shit for a challenge to get out of it or move on. Hate conforming, think outside the square, bit of a smartarse, like to push the boundaries. More of a thinker than a doer. Can be a bit of a dork, but not really. Not always easily understood so go with it. Have been described as Kramer on Seinfeld, which is probably about right. Live and let live. Cheers to that... BTW since no one really gets what I do at work this is it. I manage the Digital Colour Centre for a publishing company which is the Photography Studio and Retouch department combined. I’m basically responsible for the quality and reproduction of every picture for around 20 magazines (which is about 50% of the content) as well as Inhouse Photography and its expansion.

My Interests

Being lazy, Art, Design & Photography, Photoshop Retouching etc, going out with friends, going out for drinks, staying in watching movies, motorbikes/cars (ride a Yamaha R6), mountain biking, bands, going to comedy shows (doing comedy), stuffing around on computer, organising things, don't mind cleaning, being random. Passionate about art, loving stencil art at the moment, surrealism, impressionism is my favourite art movement, also into early industrial architecture. Into chess but too impatient. Poetry and clever quotes. Like working in the publishing industry. Animals and their welfare. Not really into sport, play squash with friends, gym, swimming and run. Reading to my nephew and just hanging with him (age 3).

I'd like to meet:

Don't want to meet anyone that doesn't get, agree or at least appreciate the 'about me' I wrote. I like easy going, positive genuine people. Can't stand anyone pretentious or the clicky group thing, nerds are ok, smoking?? don't get it. Not really into drugs, but not against them. BTW Sorry if I deny adding you. Only really adding existing friends and for industry networking purposes. I'm really busy and crap at having a conversation via text that’s what it comes down to I guess. If you want me to retouch something or train you or your staff I charge at least $100p/hr, (I can recommend good people for half that though.
