Sound Dj Datas trademark is her combination of musical sensibility and
technical mastery. With influences ranging from industrial to minimal
techno, she has a keen intuition for selecting music, managing to keep up
with new material while avoiding passing fads. In her three turntable set she
mixes her own loops with percussive samples and tracks on vinyl. This
creates a layered sound which gives new life to its original components.
Bio The rapid ascent of Alejandra Flores career has been nothing short of
well deserved. Since she joined Nopal Beat in 2001 as dj Data, she has
established herself as a serious artist with major credibility amongst
audiences and the electronic community. Her acute sense of rhythm may
me due, in part, to years of training in classical ballet. In her presentations
in South America and Europe, she has fed off the local music scenes to put
back new elements into her craft.
