Run DMC had an influence on this Locced Out veteran when he heard "Rock The Bells" on WLOU, Louisville's only black radio station during the eighties and early nineties. After listening to WLOU for years and trying to freestyle to the beats he was hearing, Saxx wrote his first rap in 1989. In '92 Saxx met Howard Gilbert and recorded his first 4-track song.A veteran of the Louisville Hip Hop community and a former member of the Merc Squad, Saxx is continuing his legacy as a solo artist. Saxx has recorded with Slim Thug, T.Q. and Too Short and opened for Juvenile, Lil Wayne, Nappy Roots, E-40, and Master P.Saxx's new album brings nothing but rapid-fire bangers all over it. The track list features production by Rob "Really Real", homies H-Gizzle and Locc. Appearances by Locced Out Entertainment's M.O.E.T. and B.Y.R.D. and Upper Level Entertainment's Amore the KING, and... if it’s all right with y’all... a little treat from Heavy Hitters DJ E-Feezy.His subject matter reflects the struggles and hustles of a young black man caught between the street life of Louisville. Besides being an artist in the recording studio, Saxx has several businesses off the ground, including Parallel Magazine and DMR Media Group."I'm not stopping," Saxx states.
