Greetings, all. I've just returned from Trinidad and Tobago, where I studied some amazing Afro-Caribbean music. My guides there were prodigiously talented, kind, and generous, and I am forever in their debt for what they gave me. Much like my trip to Guadeloupe last year, my musical approach and my life in general are richer for the experience. . . . . . ANYHOW ...If we haven't already met, I'm a musician based in the NYC area. Percussion of all kinds is my voice - my life, really! I love going to work, and my work is a wonderful mixed bag. Briefly, the CRED list includes: HOUSE - Roger Sanchez, Kerry Chandler, Dennis Ferrer; JAZZ - Gary Burton, Dave Brubeck; BROADWAY - In The Heights, Tarzan, The Lion King, Brooklyn; JINGLES - Miller Lite Beer, ESPN, The New York Knicks; COMPOSING - The Young and the Restless, Burn Notice, One LIfe to Live; POP - Burlap to Cashmere, Entrain. . . . . . . .I play percussion for the orchestra of IN THE HEIGHTS, the 2008 Tony winner for best musical. Broadway, baby! . . . . . . .I also do some producing and engineering. And dig this - I've invented a few instruments that LP and Toca will be producing and selling soon.
