my name is kelsi. i am a hair stylist and i want to make your hair rad. i work at, and manage rivendell hair salon, in arlington, WA. we are arlington's ONLY paul mitchell focus salon! as a focus salon, we exclusively carry paul mitchell products, and receive on-going, advanced education on new techniques and how to execute amazing haircuts and color, as well as modern hairstyles from Paul Mitchell's top educators. i drive about 40 minutes from my apartment in seattle to the salon every day, and i love the place so much, i wouldn't have it any other way!
i SPECIALIZE in scene hair/emo hair, super layered haircuts, thick hair, long hair, neon bright/crazy/rainbow colors, multidimensional hair color, color correction, bangs, rocker/rockabilly hairstyles, flat ironing, and microlink extensions, but i do more classic things as well. i do NOT do perms or relaxers. i am inspired by street style, japanese street fashion (especially gothic lolitas and decora gals and shibuya/harajuku district), music/musicians, vintage pin-ups, runway shows, classic tattoos, cartoons, the 80s, nature, and day-to-day life.

walk-in's are welcome when time allows, but i strongly recommend making an appointment. to make an appointment, you can message me here or call rivendell hair salon at 360-403-9262. i work wed-sat from 10am-7pm but we are open 7 days a week!

- from I-5, take the arlington/darrington exit #208.
- head toward arlington (right if you are going north, left if you are going south).
- keep driving straight. you will cross over highway 9 and see downtown arlington.
- go straight through the first roundabout.
- you will come to a 3-way intersection at the corner of division and olympic. our building is on the left. it is a big old stucco church and looks like the alamo.
- parking is available on the street, in the gravel parking lot by the post office, or behind our building by the john l. scott real estate building. please do NOT park in the lot next to our building! it belongs to the cascade building next door and you will get towed. seriously.
- go inside the main doors and go left at the bathrooms, up the red & black staircase. go right at the top of the stairs, through the tattoo shop, and my door is straight ahead. If I am not upstairs, I am probably having lunch in the cafe! feel free to ask the barista downstairs.

I go to Kelsi at Rivendell Hair in Arlington, WA because Kelsi is unlike any stylist I've ever had do my hair. She is not only a master with hair, she is creative and pleasant to be around. Rivendell Hair is the coolest salon I've ever been to. It's such a comfortable atmosphere and you really know what you're doing. Kelsi did my hair for a photo shoot in California. She made my hair have a very bold look but it really suited me. Her style is awesome and she really works with your bone and face structure to come up with the right combination of make-up and hair. Kelsi also has interesting techniques of getting your hair to do what ever she wants it to do. I am very confident in her work and would use her again if she ever comes back to California. -Heather

Kelsi cut off about 8 inches from my hair last January and styled it into a stacked bob. It came out perfectly! The layers turned under how they were supposed to, and even after I've grown it for a year I still haven't needed to have it shaped. -Dana
