Welcome a breath of fresh air to the music scene. Meet Stress, a well rounded, extremely talented hip-hop artist and producer. He was born and raised on the west side of Detroit. Growing up on the west side, Stress as well as many of his friends (such as D.J. Daddy Riff, Lynn Swan, Bodiene, and D.J. Dez) have been been actively involved in the city's underground music scene. During his middle school years, he became infatuated with turntables and would eventually end up spinning at a few local gigs over the years. It would only be a matter of time before the transition was made from playing records to writing, producing, and performing records of his own. An extremely fast learner, he went from writing ryhmes, to producing, engineering, and recording his own songs (in just a time period of one year after touching his first drum machine). Over the years, Stress has produced an impressive catalog of material for himself, as well as other artists. As an artist, he displays an uncanny ability to always leave a lasting impression on any song he touches. Whether telling a story that leaves a mark on your heart (such as Donna Carrin'), or just rockin' beats in the spirit of real M.C.'s (like Won't Stop), he always manages to take you to a place that few artists can. Stress writes deep songs that provoke thought and inspiration without you having to grab a dictionary and look up the words (music for everyday people). He's also able to keep your woman's ass shakin' without missing a beat. Stress has often been compared to artists such as Nas, Rakim, and Kanye West. Armed with God given talent, focus, and determination Stress is sure to touch the hearts and minds of every hip-hop head from the ghetto to the suburbs of every city nationwide. He fluent in the art of speaking his mind within a context that is paralleled by few artists. Also a versatile producer, Stress manages to create timeless music that cannot be limited to this generation nor the next. His material will remain relevant for years to come because he is more than a voice for inner-city African-Americans, he is a voice for society as a whole.
