About Me
Hello People of the MySpace World and Welcome to Wounded’s MySpace Profile
About Wounded
In the Beginning
Wounded started around 5 years ago when a group of lads from Telford, Shropshire (Dean Sparkes, James Dodd, Josh Booker, Andy Eades and Paul Bird) decided to make a stunt show, that also involved silly skits and pranks. We started with out a video camera where on a weeknight or a weekend we would jump on our skateboards and run through bushes, or we would get chased after by cows and bulls, or we would just be a pain in the arse to our neighbours.
2002-2003
Josh bought himself an 8mm video camera around the Christmas time of 2002, the camera wasn’t the best, but it did the trick in the meantime. Soon after his purchase of the video camera himself, Doddy (James Dodd) and Andy would start filming silly things; Dean at this point had his leg in plaster. They filmed silly pranks for a short time until Dean joined in and started influencing everyone to do stunts.
Josh’s video camera broke mid-2003, so filming came to a bit of a stand still, so Dean had to borrow another camera off his step-mum, and filming continued.
2004
Things started to pick up in this year. The boys were beginning to be very influenced by Dirty Sanchez and stunts started to get a bit more extreme, but filming grinded to a halt when Dean moved to Devon and then after 2 months moved to Coventry. None of the lads did any filming until Dean made a return to Shropshire after 4 months of being away. Filming began once again and things just got better.
2005
Dean bought a mini-DV format video camera and filmed more than we ever did before, stunts were getting better and by this time everybody had their own specific roles in Wounded. In this year we did a bit more travelling about because Birdy (Paul Bird) could drive. We did a spot of filming in Devon too, but Josh, being the clumsy twat he is, one night at Sandy Bay in Devon we placed the camera to one side, drunk as he was stumbled and sat on the camera; the camera sunk into the sand.
After coming back from Devon, Dean edited what would be the 2nd DVD of Wounded (the 1st was edited earlier that year but was never really shown to anyone other than ourselves). The 2nd DVD of Wounded was quite a success, made a fair bit of money off it selling it to people who knew us.
After a few weeks filming continued, did more travelling, more extreme stunts and then one night, 3 lads stole the video camera along with a mobile phone, we would just love to anme and shame them but they insisted they never took, hmm, so how can anyone lose a video camera in a house? And it’s mysterious how it goes missing when you guys left? ARSEHOLES!
2006
Dean got another new camera, started doing more and more filming. Also at this time, Dean was introduced to MySpace by one of his mates, and put a profile up for himself, then made one for Wounded. The Wounded site did get a bit of attention then things died off when we didn’t have a lot of footage up. While this was going on we would also be filming some more stunts, and once again making a return to Devon where this time no camera’s were broken and we did a bit more filming, but not enough to make a Devon 06 DVD special. Filming stopped soon after Devon 06. But editing continued. Dean got Adobe Premiere Pro on his laptop and found some software to put up more videos. The site started to become popular again and then people didn’t take much notice as videos were getting flagged for inappropriate content and then the videos were deleted off YouTube.
2007
Wounded started once again after almost 8 months of no filming or stunts. Just recently Dean, Doddy and Josh got back together to do some stunts and we couldn’t believe ourselves some of the stuff we were doing, it seemed like we didn’t give a crap anymore.
As many of you are aware, Download Festival at Castle Donington, a rock and metal festival, was on this year and Dean and a few friends of his from Coventry went to this event where they would not only witness some great bands, but they would also cause havoc amongst there camp site. This event really gave the Wounded crew a boost to do more stunts once again.
This year, for the third year running, the boys will be going to Devon again, and this time really up the ante and cause chaos and do some great stunts.
(DVD details will be on here soon)
The Wounded Crew
Dean Sparkes
Dean is the director and editor of Wounded. He writes down the majority of the stunts we do and he is the one in charge of this profile and putting up the videos.
Dean from the very start has done very funny and very extreme stunts. He’s not afraid of putting his hand up for a stunt, but if there is anything that he may think that might be a bit too much then he will back down. Dean is also renowned to be the heaviest drinker out of the group.
James Dodd aka Doddy
Doddy is most definitely the clown of the group, bringing the majority of the funny aspects to Wounded. But then again, he also does stunts that shocks the rest of us. He, along with Dean, is the one to keep Wounded going and is also the main motivator towards the other members.
Josh Booker
Josh, well, one word to describe him, unique. Josh does get picked on within the group but we all love him really. Josh does his fair share of stunts but he gets persuaded by the rest of the group to do certain things. He comes up with some good ideas, and everyone says “Yeah, do that!†He turns around to us afterwards and says, “Fuck that I ain’t doing it!†But he does do a lot of stunts and we, as a group appreciate the contribution. He is also well known for having a passion for food.
Andy Eades
Recently he hasn’t been in Wounded. In the past he has done some extremely funny things, from prank phone calls to being indecent in public. Very soon Andy will be making his grand return to the Wounded screen.
Paul Bird aka Birdy
Birdy was never in the Wounded crew from the beginning, he joined us around 2003-2004 and started to get more involved with the stunts in 2005. He does some good stunts, mainly gets influenced by Doddy and Dean. He is also the main person to take Wounded on a road trip, eg. Devon 05, Wales, and other places around Shropshire.
We certainly hope you enjoy our videos, please tell us what you think about them.
