About Me

Band bio:
Coming soon.
Band bio for promoters in Shoreditch:
Formed by three artists, minstrels, flaneurs, the Compadres project aims to amalgamate the most visceral grapes planted within musical terroir; to bissect sound's kinetic vigour and transform its erroneous perception as mere sensory gratification into a nigh-tangible behemoth of ambient post stoner doom.
The kernel of the musicians' visionary landscape is best expressed as mirroring that of their native Croydon, founded as it was by Mayan high priests in the 4th century BC. It is this savage mysticism of their heritage that drives much of the primal energy engendered by the project.
The band's centrifugal concern is the creation of a sonic 'language'… drums howl, bass bellows, the guitar whispers and roars with simultaneous ferocity and delicateness. This is music that speaks; as such, lyrics and the need for a posturing frontman are rendered pathetic, irrelevant… void. Singing is rubbish.
Taking references from the shamen Osbourne, Iommi, Ward and Butler, the poetry of Charles Baudelaire, gothic architecture and the erotic beauty each member finds in certain root vegetables, these three brave troubadours now stand upon a pronounced, cavernous, delicious and terrifying precipice of postmodern cultural significance. Dare you obstruct their progress? Give them a gig.
