Leslie Clague

Born in Liverpool, and a young teenager in the days of Beatle mania, Les is a self taught guitarist. He left home at a tender age and settled in Antwerp, where he began to play ragtime, blues and an array of fingerpicking styles, influenced by worldwide traditional folk forms. After spending many years in Belgium (and there is a whole other story to be told about his musical career abroad) Les eventually settled in West Cork and raised a family. In the early 90's he was playing a lot of his own compositions, many of which were opening tunings. While in Ireland, Les taught himself how to read music and for a brief period studied classical guitar. He found himself being drawn into the world of flamenco, which is now the main focus of his music. However, during the last 2 years, his son Sam has developed a love of the blues and now father and son perform regularly together, playing a selection of blues, jazz, flamenco.......
