S.K.A. ALLSTARS

Andy has been working in the ska world for a good 18 years now (but has been into the scene forever!) and Stumpy for a good 14 years and both have been previously active and signed in other ska bands. They are both ex members of Ska'd For Life UK(with Dave our guitarist and Stumpy being members of the original line up from day one, Andy joined at a later date and went on to write the band's first single "Street Life" as well as several songs on the band's first album "Sober"), and during this time headlined many tours across Europe and supported such giants as Bad Manners (in Germany), The Toasters, The Selecter, The Big 5 and the late and much missed Desmond Dekker. Andy & Stumpy have always maintained their friendship and after leaving Ska'd For Life went on to become founder members of The Monotones (ska/punk band) the first of its kind in the West Country, which successfully toured Belgium and made a special requested appearance at The Lizard Eclipse Festival alongside ska bands such as Top Catz and The Trojans. They also met up with Jerry Dammers (of The Specials) with his Sound Clash system. The Monotones released one album "It's The Monotones" before splitting up 2002. Andy and Stumpy have been constantly songwriting in between bands, then decided to recruit more band members and make a new studio album. They had plenty to work on. They recruited ex Ska'd For Life members Dave & John on guitars (with John on lead vocals), ex Rudi's Message drummer Kenny, and ex Ramshacka members Claire on sax and Sian on trombone. S.K.A. ALLSTARS were then born with all members being known from previous bands. Thanks goes out to all our family, friends and fans who have stayed loyal and supportive throughout our career.
