Melissa HenryRaised in North West London, United Kingdom, Melissa sang in church alongside her mother who introduced her to the likes of Mihaela Jackson, Supremes, Al Green. Her father was a base Guitarist, at home her father would play Bob Marley and the Wailers, George Benson, Andre Crouch and Chaka Khan who were her early inspirations. Performing in front of congregations since the age of 4 and working with melodies have stayed with her since then.From the age of 20 Melissa Pearl started writing for unsigned artists who were trying to get record deals. Nothing really took off with the projects she worked on so there was no choice but to go Roehampton University where she graduated with a BA Dance Studies Degree. Melissa used her skills and experience of Performing with and being taught by RJC dance company, Random Dance Company, Impact Dance and Boy Blue as part of Impulse and began to teach classes and choreograph for group performances with her dance group founded by Icy, Niki and herself as Dynamic Eclipse.After accomplishing one of goals to teach dance and choreograph as well as win the Eikon 2 dance competition as Random Eclipse in 2003. Melissa went back to music in 2004 and won the MTV Base lounge open mic session.After working with Davinche, Knockout, Elisha Laverne, Tiesh O Day to name a few she is back. Melissa Henry has now joined forces with Knockout to work on the Dam Good Soul project.With her songwriting skills, voice and personality, Melissa Henry is ready to take on the world.Projects:Dam Good Soul Vol 1
