About Me

I'm a student at the university of Ghent, Belgium. I study numerical informatics(and also some philosophy). During my free time you can find my behind my piano or trying to play the guitar(which I borrowed from my dear friend Willem ;-)). I'm also trying to(!) write my own songs(you can find some lyrics in my blog), with varying success.
"C'est proprement avoir les yeux fermÃ©s sans tÃ¢cher jamais de les ouvrir que de vivre sans philosopher." Just like Descartes could not imagine his life without philosophy so do I. Thats why I'm trying to put down my own ideas or questions in the songs I write.
Fair trade is a very important issue for me so I'm trying to do my part by helping in a Oxfam shop in Ghent. And I try to do some sport especially bicycling or playing soccer.

People with the same interests or who are interested in making alternative pop-rock music(btw I'm still looking for a good guitar and bass player ;) )! Well everybody who likes to meet me...just contact me!

Music:

I'm a huge fan of Coldplay, Placebo and Radiohead but I also listen a lot to Elbow, Keane, Morning runner, Bloc Pary, The artic monkeys, Starsailor, Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Soulwax, Tiga, ... and so much more!

Movies:

Well there a so many great movies! but I don't know a lot about movies...I should go more often I guess but I'm lil more interested in theatre.

Television:

Something I barely watch...is television hehe...but I like humoristic programs or a good soap or documentary. Humoristic programs like In de gloria, Het eiland, Willy's en Marjetten, Buiten de zone, That 70's show, ...

Books:

I never read books, except non-fiction books about philosophers for example.

Heroes:

Heroes? Such a big word... Thom Yorke from Radiohead and Chris Martin from Coldplay as the most inspiring artists today. And of course all my friends and family! ;)

Pukkelpop 2006
