I say ..... it's my real name spelled backwards ... Robert Palmer ...
I couldn't use this because of the `other one' who was more famous than me. However, you can call me `Bob' if you like, I don't mind at all, you can call me whatever you like.Born in 1949 at a very young age, I always aspired to become a `Rock Star'
especially after seeing Marty Wilde, Joe brown, Tommy Steele and Cliff Richard on the early B & W T.V. shows like the `Six - Five' special.AsI got a little older, I became involved in the local (Bristol) music scene and formed `Groups' (as they were called then) with super names names like `Crunchy Frog' , `Larks Vomit' & the more sensibly named `Trigger'. (One agent, I recall, actually wanted to call us `Telephone Box') `Toby Jug' & `Heavyweather' followed soon after. As time went by `Taymar' was formed and did reasonably well on the local circuit.Eventually, a new band came intio being, this was the very famous `Jet Ranger and the Helicopters', a four piece unit which was very successful on the West Country Circuit.The very, very famous 'Two of Clubs' duo followed and `Toledo Express'
was the final chapter ... to date. (Watch this space)I now spend very many happy hours in my small `Home Studio' down here
in Weston-Super-Mare, producing and engineering recordings
