Salam Friends Near and Far, Though we may not agree on all things, we CAN agree that continuing violence against each other is not the solution. **** All sides must be willing to compromise a little, and moderation should prevail. **** We should not allow extremists or unreasonable parties to take hostage of the situation. **** Lebanon is here to stay! Israel is here to stay! Soon Palestine will be here to stay! **** The 3 nations have an enormous opportunity to live in peace together and grow an incredible tourist industry with some of the best music, food, health spas, and historic sites in the world! **** All the economies can grow together, with enormous cross-border trade and cross-cultural synergy! **** Parties on all sides must listen to each other and put down their weapons. **** All lives are too precious and too short. We must stop the rhetoric and distortions on all sides. ***** Each country should have open, liberal economies, democracies in which all people, men and women, can vote, religious tolerance, gender equality, and true sovereignty. ****** Foreign governments like Syria and Iran should not be allowed to infiltrate Lebanon and use puppets there to drag Lebanon into unwanted war. *********** The militias must be stopped! ******** The Israelis need to surrender control of the West Bank, like they did in Gaza, as soon as possible. ******** And the Arab nations must help bring moderation into the region, so everyone feels safe enough to put down their arms. ********* Stop militarizing the region and start building true peace and co-operation. ******** Jews, Christians and Moslems can and should live together in peace and prosperity.
