We the Lost and Found began their journey at the Zoo in Brisbanes Fortitude Valley, one remarkable Friday evening in Feb 2006. After opening several times for Saint Arthur as an Acoustic Duo and trio, it was time to make their mark as an Alternative force to be reckoned with!
The core of the music is based upon a lasting friendship between guitarist Aaron Emery and vocalist Ash Thornton who met in '96 on the Sunshine Coast and soon began writing soulfull tunes together firstly for the band Guelo ( with Saint Arthur drummer Mat Shrader) and then later forming there own band Mikoxbigband.
From the beginning with the miraculous way they met, which is a story in itself, and through the ups and downs of life this has been no ordinary friendship and the music has been the essential oil that fuels their fire!
Now in 2008 their live shows are leaving punters wondering why they havent heard more from We the Lost and Found, well through a spate of bad luck ie; losing their rhythm section just before the release of their independent Ep Medicine for the Mindjar and the accident which left Ash in a wheelchair for three months, it has tested the tenacity of their passion. Now with new drummer Mick Maher masterfully bringing a new edge to the music and the luck of having a brilliant bass player as a friend, Jeremy Thomas from Showpony to fill in ( yes we are still looking for that bass player) the bond and the band is bigger and better then ever and the lads are about to embark on a new chapter for We the Lost and Found.
