Married. Wife Janet. Two sons. Nicholas and Timothy. I play guitar in the band Smash Alley. We play all original music. Sounds like late 70's rock. One show played at drummer's brother's house for a great bunch of bikers. AC/DC, Rolling Stones and Steppenwolf went over well. The Bryan Adams / Tina Turner song not so well. ******************************************************** Early version no. 1 that eventually became Riff Raff (1988) with Bob Burns (vocals), Bill Pfender (drums), Matt Quirk (rhythm guitar), Brian Wismer (bass) and myself on lead guitar. Two practices, no gigs. ********************************************************* Version no. 2 (1988); Bob Burns (vocals), Ed Simmons (drums), Ken Magas (bass), Ed's brother in law Brian on lead guitar and me on rhythm guitar. One practice. No gigs. ********************************************************* Riff Raff mark I version (1988) ; Bob Burns, Ed Simmons, Ken Magas amd myself on guitar. One practice and placed third at the outside and freezing Mallard Creek Battle of the Bands. Played a four song set at the Kenwood soon after with Hattrick. Added second guitarist Ken Wajda. Played many shows at The Kenwwod and the Dugout. Also the Velvet Lounge and one show at the Eagle's Nest with Third Wish. ********************************************************* Version no. 3(1989); Bob again, Ed Simmons (drums), Jimmy Elmer (lead guitar), Kenny Michaels (keyboards), Ken Magas (bass) and myself on rhythm guitar. One practice, no gigs. ********************************************************** Riff Raff mark II (1989); Me, Bob and Ed with Gary Hancock (lead guitar) and Dave Moore (bass). More shows at the Kenwood, the Dugout and Max's New York Grill. Opened one show at the Kenwood for Foghat. ********************************************************* Riff Raff mark III (1990); Me, Bob, Ed, Ken Magas again and Doug Humble on lead guitar. Handfull of shows and a beef and beer. ********************************************************* Riff Raff mark IV (1991); Me, Bob, Ken M., Kevin Nelson (lead guitar) and Mike Girgenti (drums). One show at the Dugout. ********************************************************* Riff Raff mark V (1991-92); Me, Bob, Ken M., Kevin and Rob Smith (drums). Shows include the Ambler Cabaret,the Bedrock, and a beef and beer. The stage lights were finally turned off for Riff Raff in 1992. ********************************************************** DC3 (2000). When I played second guitar with the Dan Carpenter Trio and made it a four piece, we were called DC3. Shows include The Fairless 500, Crossroads, Casmirri's, Penndel Fire Hall, My Brother's Pub and the Andalusia Bar & Grill. ********************************************************** More band history to follow. **********************************************************
