About Me

CD IT'S PERSONAL AVAILABLE ON i-TUNES AND CD BABY.COM At the age of 15, Aaron Crane was already writing his own material and singing at local establishments. After earning a degree in music, he headed to Nashville with friend and co-writer Kerry Phillips and landed a deal with the Cannery label. Phillips and Crane recorded and released the single "Put the Dog Outside". Robert Oermann of Disc-Claimer said of Phillips and Crane, "Wonderful, from the jazzy melody to the hillbilly vocal and the hot little instrumental work...a nice, nice record." Billboard Magazine called it "a fun tune, tightly produced and well sung." Aaron's solo effort has lead him back to the Louisville area to write and record his 2005 release. Stephen George of the LEO Magazine said, "Musically speaking, Aaron Crane doesn't play games. His album 'It's Personal' is entirely and exactly that. There's no smoke, no misdirection; only Crane, a Louisvillian who also plays in the band Strumbeat, banging songs from his acoustic guitar and his gut. He's unabashed about love and loss, unafraid to say he feels something. He can gracefully move from a slow tune about devastation to an upbeat rocker with the click of a track. Overall, it's refreshing in such a Hip Age to have somethig so earnest." TIM ROBERTS of THE LOIUSVILLE MUSIC NEWS says"Aaron Crane's songs are positive in theme and tone, powerful in thier emotional impact". Throughout his career, Crane has performed with or opened for a variety of artists, including Patty Loveless, Henry Lee Summer, Guess Who, Steppen Wolf, Violent Femmes, Brother Cane, Quiet Riot, Tommy Cash, Desert Rose Band, Canyon, Rare Earth, Carl Story, Trickster, Mr Big, Larry Gatlin, Little Texas, and others. Recently,he has performed with TOMMY WOMAK ,TIM KREKEL,and GEORGIA MIDDLEMAN,all respected writer/artists in the Nashville scene. Currently at work on a new project,SONOMA RED, he's expanding his writing styles with the help of fellow writer/artist CHIP ADAMS.Blessed with the talent of local louisville veterans,Aaron and Chip hope to complete the project soon. Aaron Crane's style blends soulful lyrics and pop energy, with the intensity of rock and roll to create a sound that is real and relevant.
