About Me

3crease started in late 1997 when founding member Schmed asked his two friends J and Cheech to form a band. At this point, neither J or Cheech had any musical experience and thus offered to take lessons in order to join the young Schmedeke. As the months moved by the three friends would find success at the Oswego Prarie Fest Battle of the Bands as well as numerous shows at the now defunct Riley's Rock House. The biggest show for the band was in August of 2000 when they shared the stage with Lucky Boys Confusion, Kill Hannah, Swizzle Tree and 15 Minutes Late (now Logan Square). 3crease' unique mix of rock, funk, reggae and metal led to a large following in the western suburbs as well as the full length cd known only as "Colored Green." Some say the band's demise came way too early as an entire batch of unreleased songs sit on the shelf waiting to be rocked. One thing can be said for sure, 3crease represented Life, Unity and Music.
