Aquelle Francesca Plakaris was born and raised on the beautiful island of Nassau, the capital and just one of the 700 islands of The Bahamas. Plakaris is the granddaughter of the "GREEK GODFATHER" "Papa George".This Greek Bahamian beauty stands 5'10" tall and has the distinction of being the first Bahamian beauty queen to win an international pageant. Presently Francesca holds the international title of Miss Commonwealth International. Ms. Plakaris competed against 188 countries in London,England.Aquelle is very passionate about her platform which is "ERADICATING POVERTY".Her platform also includes “HIV& AIDS AWARENES”, and “CANCER AWARENESS”. This beautiful goddess is the founder of Knockout Fashion Weekend which is a charitable event in aid of children living with Cancer or HIV/AIDS.Francesca is also the face for jewelry line "Gems & Pearls" designed by Isabell.
21 year old Plakaris is a former a Law major at The College/ University Of The Bahamas and is now furthering her education in the USA. Her ambition in life is to become a United Nations Ambassador and a Child Psychologist. She believes that “The sky is just a target” and that “through God every thing is possible”. Her advice to the younger generation is “Believe that your dream can become a reality, and never take your reality for granted because it can be someone else’s dream”.
