This young dancehall phenomenon started his journey in 1996 after falling in love with the culture that has been such a big influence in his life. The music of artists like Shabba Ranks, Super Cat, Lt. Stitchie and Bounty Killer was a definite inspiration for Vito in his early years, which led to his own musical aspirations and allowed him to develop his own distinct style.
In 1998 he met up with Asani younger brother of Innocent Crew's Benzley Hype, who at the time had the all too familiar hit Impossible Train produced by the infamous rhthym twins Sly & Robbie. Being so closely involved with the music, he felt a definite urge that music was his calling and was dedicated to honing his skills.
Through a close friendship with Bad Breed, a member of Wall Street & part owner of Gambling House Recording Studios, VITO felt a true passion for the music through performing at various events, the first biggest show being Anthony B's Birthday Bash 2003. Events like Jamaica Vibes, and various stage shows help VITO to connect with this Audience and strengthen his confidence and presence on the stage. His most recent shows Have been on the bmobile promo tour of Jamaica,06.
The fruits of all his hard work can be seen in VITO's latest single "Pimp in my ride", which provides both a comical and realistic view point on how people view vanity. The enganging chorus "I'm the pimp in my ride, no need for me to go and pimp my ride, dem can't get no girls inside, 'less them have rim 24 inches wide", gives the listenner a taste of VITO's cleverness, and almost effortless ability to attract the ears of his fans. All of this coupled with an equally humourous video has created a buzz for VITO in the streets, a buzz which he definitley intends to capitalize on.
"DOUBLE CLUTCH, It's The V to da I to da T to da O, Very Intelligent Thug On top of the world"
