Calling all creative female Myspacers! Where r u?!

Why worry about the end of the world happening today, it's already tomorrow in Australia

About Me

There's not much to say really. I want to become a full time writer, at this moment I'm trying to write a book, you'll find the first chapter of it on my blog, along with a short story that I've also written. I have a passion for literature, but I'm VERY chosey about what I read. Like the good life but want to live it without hurting anybody. LOVE music of all genres (EXCEPT!! heavy metal and ragga). Love excitement and adventure! I'm short as heck (5:2) so spend my time hunting for platform shoes, Camden Town shops love me for it!

My Interests

Pre-Raphaelite art, travel, reading, writing, theatre, comedies (no one can beat Newman and Baddiel in their hay day though) and fine food.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who wants to chat. Men, women black, white, rich or poor. Creative, open minded people bloggers and other writers. Though if you're a blogger the greater the difference between you and I, the more inclined I'll be to read your blogs. By that I mean this, read my stuff or look at me, and the more different you are, the more I would like you to invite me to check you out, I want to be introduced to different opinions, lifestyles and experinces. So if you're a chinese, surfing civil servant, let me know of you. lol Oh and any Rugby fans would be great!NO! wannabe or actual gangsta types!!!! The guy with the balaclava around his mouth, all greased up holding two 47 AKA's, leave me the HELL ALONE!

Music:

I'm a heavy duty kate Bush and Clannad freak! Pop, R&B and hip hop. What they aren't mutually exclusive ya know! And also Hindi music, have you heard HAMESHA TUM KO CHAHA? Beautiful song. Favorite tune, Free Your Mind from En Vogue. If you wanna know my experiences and how I think, listen to the lyrics of that song

Movies:

All About Eve starring Betty DavisDevdasPride and Prejudice (any version)I love how it conveys repressed eroticism, without becoming pornographic.Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise and the Garden State with Zac BruffCompany of Wolves (sinister take on traditional fairy tales)Smokin Aces. This is one seriously underrated film! If you can get thru the confusing first hour and ten minutes, you'll experience the best 45 minutes of your entire life! The plot twist is the best.

Television:

Reality TV shows ("bread and circuses" as Emperor Augustus said) and comedies, Scrubs on C4 being and the Rhubba lads being my second favorite. The play, The Browning Version

Books:

Mike Gayle's My Legendary Girlfriend. Love Sex and Power by Richard E Foster Watching the English by kate Fox Brother Grimm by Craig Russell Half of a Yellow Sun Plato's Republic

Heroes:

The brooding ghosts of Australian night have gone from the bush and town; My spirit revives in the morning breeze, though it died when the sun went down; The river is high and the stream is strong, and the grass is green and tall, And I fain would think that this world of ours is a good world after all.The light of passion in dreamy eyes, and a page of truth well read, The glorious thrill in a heart grown cold of the spirit I thought was dead, A song that goes to a comrade's heart, and a tear of pride let fall -- And my soul is strong! and the world to me is a grand world after all!Let our enemies go by their old dull tracks, and theirs be the fault or shame (The man is bitter against the world who has only himself to blame); Let the darkest side of the past be dark, and only the good recall; For I must believe that the world, my dear, is a kind world after all.It well may be that I saw too plain, and it may be I was blind; But I'll keep my face to the dawning light, though the devil may stand behind! Though the devil may stand behind my back, I'll not see his shadow fall, But read the signs in the morning stars of a good world after all.Rest, for your eyes are weary, girl -- you have driven the worst away -- The ghost of the man that I might have been is gone from my heart to-day; We'll live for life and the best it brings till our twilight shadows fall; My heart grows brave, and the world, my girl, is a good world after all.Henry Lawson
