Happy wife, superbly proud mother, playful though sadly long-distance grandmother, jubilant mother of a new bride, concerned sibling (still), worried daughter, passionate teacher (forever in my heart whether I am in the classroom or not), servant to those most needy in my new community, engenderer of social change, minister to the natural world, recorder of impressions and sharer of life lessons.Love the comfort of home but respond viscerally to the call of the wild, whether it's the coyote's pitiful howl through my windows at night, the seduction of ocean breezes, the humbling awesomeness of sunset or the fragile promise of dawn's light beyond the mountain peaks, the silence and shimmer of the underwater wonderland, and the musky smells of creatures along the trail that let me know I am never alone.Love to chill but don't know when to stop working.Destined to live my later years in a tent somewhere since money is a foreign language to me and making (much) of it somehow still eludes me. It's also a thing that doesn't bother me. I firmly believe that life always works out even when things aren't looking so good. As they say in Shakespeare in Love, "It's a mystery." And I love the unfolding...
