About Me

Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own!I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4Skies of utopia is excusively formed by me, Carlo Heefer. Mainly I am a guitarplayer, but I also love to compose music as a whole. That's what Skies of utopia is about. Not being solely a guitarplayer, but also try to make music as a whole. Start 2000 I bought my first computer and soon discovered the possibilities using multitrack software and all kinds of different plugins instrument and such more. I found out that working on my own offered me the chance to work in my own manner, order and tempo, which stimulated me to progress on different things simultaneously and experiment with all kinds of sound, recording techniques, moods and musical melting pots.I am currently very busy with my band "Cirrha Niva" (www.myspace.com/cirrhaniva) and reconstructing my house which I bought some years ago, however when time permits me I will continue recording and finish my own songs I have been writing in the past several years. Some of these songs are posted here for you to listen. They are rough demoversions, all recorded with an old Pentium IV, 512 MB ram memory, a Soundblaster live audiocard, no experience regarding recording in any way and a healthy appetite for experimentation. :-) This might ( just might.. :-) ) account for the quality and difference in sound of the songs. My Final goal is to re-record all the songs I have written (after having them re-arranged when necessary), but this time with a real drummer, hopefully a true bassplayer (instead of me just playing guitar on the bass), definitely one great vocalist and hopefully some more if possible, a true keyboardplayer, and all of this recorded with much better gear and under much better circumstances, hopefully leading to a bunch of killer sounding songs. Untill then you will have to manage with the ones I've posted, hopefully you'll like 'm anyway. If you have anything to say about them, have any comments/questions about my music/gear/recording techniques or anything else to say to or ask me, please feel free to do so and let me know!!!all the love to ya.........Carlo
