My loved onesOne reason why I have been losing weight for the last year. I don't want to leave my loved ones behind any sooner than I have to.--------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------It's been hard, I've struggled, I've been sore, mad, frustrated, and depressed. I have also been more energetic, happier, and proud.----It all started in August 2006 when I was 359 pounds. Between August and May I managed to lose 8 pounds. I started my MySpace weight loss journey on May 7, 2007 at 351 pounds. I started with NutriSystem because I needed something that was a no-brainer to get me eating right and in the right portions. I was eating nothing but NutriSystem until October 2007 when I started incorporating more grocery store foods into my diet. I started exercising in July 2007 and have done things I never could have before. In October I walked in a 10K race with a good friend of mine. We came in last but we were so proud of ourselves. This October we want to do it again.
After February 2008, when I reached 100 pounds lost, which was my original goal, I started slipping. I never thought I would get to that point that fast, and I think a part of me rationalized that I was ahead of schedule and could afford to slip. One week turned into two and two turned into three and so on until I was in a rut that I'm still barely out of. But now that I've been around the same weight within 4 pounds for the last 3 months, it's time get back on track again.------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------My ultimate goal is to weigh 190 pounds which will be a total loss of 169 pounds in 2-3 years.------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------My struggles come in from trying to stay away from sweets. I loooooooove chocolate! Especially cookies and ice cream. I also struggle with exercise. A few months ago when I was in challenges and other things that had me exercising every day, I was in my groove and doing it okay. In February I went to a body analysis and was told I was overworking my body working out every day and that threw me off big time. When I let a day go by without working out, it's so hard to get back into it again. I'd rather not stop at all than have to get back into it. That's where I'm at right now, trying to get my body moving.----------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------
