"Scott Hannay is Hudson Falls' native funk man. Everything about the guy is energy. When you see him live, you'll notice that he doesn't merely play guitar, he attacks it...usually to the detriment of his strings. But hey, what's art without a little suffering? ...'Rewind' makes you want to unwind." -CE Skidmore, The Post Star
"Scott Hannay is a rock and roll artist with no rock band. So, he plays all instruments himself...When he's performing live, the layers are stripped away and Scott is left with his voice, an acoustic guitar and a handful of finely crafted tunes. He is quite good, and you'll be sure to read more about him in the future."
-Bob Smith, The Chronicle
"Feel-good party rock...a more textured, modern Brit rock sound a la Elbow or Coldplay; this boy has talent....Scott Hannay could likely be sharing the stage with other big names like Cake and G. Love someday."

I am currently involved with multiple bands, the first being CAPITAL Zen(..boards/backup vox), the funkiest-skunkiest-punkiest 4-piece in the area. Also, I'm the bassist/backup vocalist for The Kings of Stupid Mountain, a cover band with the sole intention of ROCK. I play lead guitar and sing backups with Megan Houde Project, a (not shockingly)female-fronted rock-funk-country band that does a healthy mix of both covers and original songs. I also play guitar/keys and sing for The Whatever Experiment, performing quite an eclectic collection of different genres of music, hosting the HotShots Open Mic with them every Tuesday night. Last but by far not least, I'm with The Bark Eaters, an acoustic group specializing in jam-band-esque repertoire. As you can see by my schedule, I find myself quite busy with these groups around the area, so come check us out sometime!
I've sat in onstage with jam-rock masters Umphrey's McGee, as well as other local bands here and there, such as Evil TV, King's English, Mischief, The Brat Pack, and back in the day, MoPM. I'm always chomping at the bit to play, and I also believe it helps me to learn so much more just by playing with so many different musicians.
Now, on top of all that, there's also my all-original music project, heard here on this page, as well as the Umphrey's McNES project, which is, in a nutshell, the songs of Umphrey's McGee as heard through an old Nintendo's sound chip.
ROCK.
