I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I want to improve on crossword puzzles. I love wine, coffee, and water. Animals are generally better than a lot of people. I love to laugh and cry. Even fight at times. If there is any remaining time left on a microwave, I will clear it. I hate dirty dishes in the sink. The friends I have are great and I probably don't say it enough. I have yet to re-create creme brulee as perfectly as I did a couple of winters back.

My Interests

My latest? My new apartment and keeping it clean. And eating food/drink from the "Global Market" at Cub Foods (because I can't get to the Co-op). Getting my cello fixed. Reconnecting with old friends. Getting a hold of current, everyday friends. Grinding coffee just before brewing. Red wine. Pug snores. Cat purrs. Sounds of the like. Beards that look nice. Tattoo, cooking, weird ailment shows. Letters and postcards: I will dole out 41 cents for you. Finding a job. Working on happiness. Getting that urge to write and actually following through. Cooking, Baking, creating memory through smell. Saturday and Sunday morning radio in the car.

I'd like to meet:

People I already know. People I don't have a clue about. People who I thought were cool, but too shy to say so. People who think I might be an interesting and fun person to know. You know, the kind of person you put in an address book. People who seem like they are really nice and then TOTALLY flake out...that sucks. In that sort of superficial "I want to meet a celebrity" sort of way, I would choose : Terrence Howard, Jeffrey Wright, Benicio Del Toro, Paul Giamatti. (The dead ones: Roald Dahl, Gregory Peck, Basquiat, Flannery O'Connor, Billie Holiday, Alfred Hitchcock).

Music:

Currently Listening: BeirutLeonard Cohen, Wilco, Cesaria Evora, Elvis Costello, Neil Young, Astrud Gilberto, T. Rex, Bjork, Diango Reinhardt, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, The Replacements, , Billie Holiday, Sonic Youth, The Pogues, Bikini Kill, Gillian Welch, Uncle Tupelo, Velvet Underground, The Pixies, early Liz Phair, Stevie Wonder, Neko Case, Nico, Al Green, Antony and the Johnsons, Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams, Portishead, Tom Waits, James Brown, Nina Simone, Johnny Cash, Hope Sandoval, Nick Drake, Nick Cave, Rufus Wainwright, Ray Charles, Yo La Tengo, Etta James, Paul Westerberg, Old 97s, Morcheeba, The Waterboys, Roberta Flack, Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66, Joni Mitchell, Vetiver, Cyndi Lauper, Prince, Carla Bruni, Low, Patsy Cline, Ryan Adams( not to be confused with Bryan Adams) solo and Whiskeytown days Flying Burrito Brothers, David Bowie, Beth Orton, some of the songs we used to play in orchestra (although I remember small fragments).

Movies:

Documentaries like: The Shane McGowan Story, Devils Playground, Word Play, God SpokeOld and clever like: The Apartment (or any quick dialogue with a bit of romance on the side).Alfred Hitchcock: movies and showMovies I've watched over and over (for various reasons): New York Stories, Royal Tennebaums, The Goodbye Girl, Office Space, Amelie, Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany's (although I HATE Mickey Rooney's Asian stereotype), Amadeus, Pretty in Pink...Woody Allen: Take the Money and Run, Annie Hall, Bananas.

Heroes:

Have you inspired me or saved my life lately? You may just be a hero in my book.
