Who is Andy Earley?
Andy Earley is a young upcoming DJ on the in the vibrant underground club circuit of the city of Liverpool, while being associated with the famous super club Cream, Radio One’s house club of the year Circus, techno institution Voodoo and the critically acclaimed Chibuku Shake Shake, it also boasts and array of independent club nights spread across a selection of smaller venues, it is in these venues which Andy Earley has looked to champion his sound of deep melodic house. Andy’s desire to mix was drove from a love of hip hop however after seven years of immersing himself into many styles of music he is beginning to find a sound that truly moves him, techno. A move from hip hop to techno is not uncommon and this move places Andy in a bracket with two of his heroes, Dave Clarke and Ben Sims, both of which Andy claims to have been influenced by heavily in 2006 and his path to the more driving sound of techno beats. While the CD wallet of Andy Earley is mass populated by a collection of underground tracks, this was not always the case Andy’s first foray into playing in front of a live audience was on the more commercially edged bars of Liverpool and the surrounding areas, with more an emphasis on keeping customers in the venue rather than keeping clubbers dancing, this was until a trip to the white isle in 2005 which further wetted his appetite for underground beats, seeing Laurent Garnier and Carl Cox he knew his path had to change, having paid his dues on the bar scene it was now time to get rid of Junior Jack and DJ Flex and bring in Booka Shade and Radio Slave. Andy got his foot on the first rung of the ladder in 2006 starting with a gig at the infamous Lemon Lounge where greats such as James Zabiela and Danny Howells have span their tunes, while playing in front of a small crowd Andy had the crowd dancing until the very end showing his ability to play peak time sets. Also in 2006 Andy appeared at afterhours in the GBar and the Magnet, handing out regular mixes was a feature for Andy in 2006, these mixes have received positive feedback with many frequently asking when the next one will be recorded.2007 will be an exciting year for Andy Earley as he looks to establish himself on the north west underground scene. Andy is equally capable of warming things up with his deep melodic vibe or of smashing out the tough techno and bleepy tech house currently at the fore of his CD wallet, which ever style he plays you can always be assured you will receive the most upfront sounds from a DJ who places many hours a week searching for new fresh music to continually improve his sound.
