I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

"Well-behaved women seldom make history"-Ulrich It has recently come to my attention as to the exact context of my favorite quote, and it has made me love it even more! What makes a woman well-behaved and what makes her stand out in history among the masses? Life comes fast and hard, and it is often the things that one does in everyday life that makes a person stand out."Drama in the hum-drum of life" Ulrich says is what makes a woman great....People often do not set out to be great...it is often their passion for what they do in life and the need to write private thoughts down that makes people shine. A quilt, hastily written thoughts on a napkin..you never know what will bring you to the attention of a historian 30 to 100 yrs later. Every moment is precious...Ulrich never thought that a statement taken out of context would be blown this out of proportion!I am a religious studies grad student at the University of South Florida, and my core curriculum is Islam and Catholicism. I plan to write my thesis on what the above think about the Virgin Mary....prophetess or goddess? After I graduate I plan to get my Ph.D, teach, and write books on various issues on Islam, Catholicism, Agnosticism, and cults and societies in the Americas. Sounds cool, huh? Well...I like to think so!

My Interests

I enjoy reading, dancing, and hanging out with my friends. I will try almost anything once...i carry your heart with me i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)i am never without it(anywhere i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling) i fear no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true) and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you.here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart.i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)-ee cummings

I'd like to meet:

People who can hold a conversation:) I am currently single again, and just looking to get to know people who are intelligent, cultured, and know how to enjoy life and the little things!"A man on a date wonders if he'll get lucky. The woman already knows.” Monica Piper quote “I don't like myself, I'm crazy about myself” Mae West quote Women vs MenWhen women are depressed, they either eat or go shopping. Men invade another country. It's a whole different way of thinking. -- Elaine Boosler“Whenever I date a guy, I think, "Is this the man I want my children to spend their weekends with?"” Rita Rudner quote“A man falls in love through his eyes, a woman through her ears.” Woodrow Wyatt quotes “You can explore the universe looking for somebody who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and you will not find that person anywhere.” Unknown“To love oneself is the beginning of a life-long romance”Oscar Wilde

Music:

Alternative music, Reggaton, Bachata, Salsa, Cumbia, etc. :)

Movies:

Romantic Comedies, Scary Movies-----Anything w/ Bette Davis.lol. Um....Gone w/ The Wind, Film Noir...I have very eccentric Tastes in Movies.lol. The Women circa 1939 w/ Joan Crawford and Norma Shearer, All this and Heaven Too, Monkey Business, most of the movies from 1930-1952...after that everything gets too war oriented and political...blah...A Street Car named Desire, Sound of Music, The Greatest Show on Earth, The Last Temptation of Christ

Books:

Maltese Falcon by Dashel Hammett, Gone w/ the Wind, Their Eyes Were Watching God, The Birth of Venus by Sarah Dunant..Christopher Rice, Laurel K Hamilton...All Flowers Die...Stephen King, Anne Rice, and Greg Iles, Kim Harrison, LA Banks (the vampire-huntress novels), anything by Dan Brown, Sherilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series, anything by Jacqueline Carey, Michelle Rowan...omg there are too many to name! Anything that will spark my imagination!

Heroes:

Those who speak against a travesty against humanity, and work to change that which is thought to be impossible. Humans always feel like there is nothing that they can do to change a situation because they have lived their entire lives under oppression or turmoil, however with a little effort and teamwork, it is amazing what can be accomplished!!
