BUFFALO, NY – Since appearing on the Western NY music scene in 2000, BAREBACK JACK has raised the bar of what is expected for local musicians. Among other accolades, BBJ has collected FIVE consecutive Buffalo Music Awards as "Country Band of the Year" (2004-2008).
BAREBACK JACK works and plays harder than any other band. The Band is closing in on 800 performances in 10 years. They have been asked to share the stage with over 50 National acts. Their 2009 include shows with Nashville's James Otto, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum...as well as Rock-n-Roll outlaws like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kid Rock. Other highlights include Darien Lake, America’s Fair, and CanalFest, as well as a heavy schedule of shows at virtually every honky-tonk, beer joint and backwoods tavern in the surrounding area.
In 2008, BAREBACK JACK was invited to the National Finals of NBC's "Nashville Star". Over 25,000 musicians entered the competition and BBJ advanced to the final round of 250. While in Music City USA, BBJ was invited to play the world famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge.
In 2005, BAREBACK JACK released their debut CD “Bottoms Upâ€. The highly anticipated follow-up is on it's way.
