05/16/2006 JENNINGS Howard D. Sr. Howard D. Jennings Sr., age 74, of Northwood passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2006, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 31, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio to Harry and Minnie Jennings. Howard was a US Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Korean war where he was one of the chosen few. He married Bonnie (Rife) on June 13, 1953. Howard worked for Roadway Express for many years and retired July 31, 1993. Howard was a member of the Northwood VFW Post 2984 and was an avid camper and employee of the Monroe KOA. "Pops" as Howard was affectionately known, was friendly, fun loving and never met a stranger. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jennings; sons, Howard (Cathy) Jr. of Zephryhills, FL, James (Joan) of Toledo, Tim (Tracy) of Tampa, FL and Kevin (Jeannie) of Northwood; daughters, Terry (Dave) Grycza of Toledo and foster daughter, Becky (Rusty) Rudy of New Mexico. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly, and special friends, Glenn and Opal Sasscer who helped him to enjoy life in the past few months. Friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 -11 a.m. Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Glenn Sasscer Jr. officiating. The Northwood VFW Post 2984 will conduct services on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Interment will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cathy, Jeannine, Laura DeVore from Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the Northwood VFW and the Monroe KOA for all their support. The family suggests that those wishing to make a contribution to please consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Northwood VFW Post 2984.

02/15/2007 BUTLER Florence Irene Florence Irene Butler, born February 27th, 1917, went to be with the Lord February 13th, 2007 at St Anne Hospital Toledo, Ohio. Preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Butler; parents and brother. Leaving behind to cherish her in memory are sister, Rhoda Reuter; brother, Kenneth Smith and numerous nieces and nephews; daughters, Mable Harmon, Wendy (Bob) Knox, Paula Hess, Carol (Dave) Johnson, and Dora (Bob) Wain; sons, Delbert (Donna) Butler, Fred (Judy) Butler, Frank (Mary) Butler. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 16th, 2 p.m., at Marble Cemetery in Milan, Michigan
