Akatishia was originally formed in 2002 by long-time friends and band mates Norman Soares & Frederic Gervais. They rapidly made a serious name for themselves by working with Matthew Dekay and and releasing some of the biggest club hits around the globe. Their production "Time to Think" was widely recognized at 2003 Extrema outdoor annual festival. "Time to think" which was later re-edited and mixed by Mathew Dekay and themselves was soon released on Extrema Records. This theme and collaboration with Mathew Dekay set the pace for the next two years where they produced several other big hitters like "Move Yo" (Low riders) ,"Higher Thoughts" (Little mountain) and the Beastie Boys remix, and received massive recognition for their work. 2005 was their breakout year, Akatishia signed up with Fiberlineaudio.com Recording Label to release several new tracks and remixes.This year they have been working with the famous dutch dj, Johan Gielen for the upcoming album Revelations, which will be released on BlackholeRecordings&TunesforYou.
Their first outing is a remix of the allready big hit Physical Overdrive and is received very well a 3beat recommend!
