Never whistle for the wind unless you want it to blow

About Me

I grew up in Brawley, Ca. where I am known as Bubba. If you've seen me, the name doesn't necessarily fit my visual qualities. I got that name from my older brother Matt when we were just little babies, and on top of my ma not really caring for the name Willis, Bubba or Bub stuck. My mom actually calls me Bubby all the time. Brawley is a small town with a similar mentality, but now I live in San Francisco. I'm not so fond of Brawley, however, it is still home in some senses and do miss bits and pieces of it. I spent some of my adolescence in Calipatria. Much of my time there wasn't too happy, I was kinda insecure. As were many people I suppose, being a teen is kinda tough. My parents got divorced right before I went into high school. Oh boo freakin hoo. I am a very open person, willing to listen to all sides of a story. I try to be as unbiased as possible. I hate yelling, it just makes me nervous when people yell, and I get uncomfortable. To my friends and family, you guys have all helped me along the way, so thanks for that and I love you guys. I try to laugh as often as possible, and like to make people smile. Just makes me feel like I've done something good with my day. Now time for some BS. I had a heated sexual relationship with Salma Hayek, but we had to call it off because of our busy lifestyles. I know that one day we will get back together and make it work. Salma baby, if you're reading this, I still have a place in my heart for ya.

My Interests

Love to learn new things. I like to run and work out. I like MMA. Video games are the cats pajamas to me. Movies and tv in general. I love road trips, and traveling. I can't wait to go to Europe and just go from country to countrty. So who's with me?

I'd like to meet:

So many people, both famous and from my past. Okay, let's get this party started. M. Night Shyamalan, Rosario Dawson, Randy Couture, Bas Rutten, Morgan Freeman, Salma Hayek, Conan O'brien, Andy Richter, Will Ferrell, Steven Colbert, Steve Carrell, Jon Stewart, Chuck Liddell, Evangeline Lilly, Pink Floyd, and old friends and acquaintances. There are more, but I think this should suffice.

Music:

I have a pretty eclectic taste in music, though it was difficult for me to let go of my DISCO roots. It used to be clear cut but nowadays it seems to be that most people do like a wide variety of music. Some of the things that I am listening to right now or have been listening to: The Killers, Tool, Led Zepplin(thanks Mae),CKY, Kaki King, John Coltrane, Thomas Newman, Rage Against the Machine, blah blah blah look at me talking. I'm open to listening to just about anything.

Movies:

This is the serious stuff. I Will attempt to list some of my fav's. The Usual Suspects, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sin City(that shit is awesome), Motorcycle Diaries (such a beautiful movie, seriously beautiful), Army of Darkness (go Ash), Legend, Fight Club, Seven, Schindler's List ( I could only watch it once because it's so sad, but I still bought it when it was released...difficult to watch but so so good if you can get through it without getting totally pissed or sad), The Shawshank Redemption, This is Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman...all the Christopher Guest movies. I have to stop listing them cause I could go on for a while.

Television:

Ultimate fighter, Comedy Central except for Mad TV which is fucking retarded and has yet to make me laugh, American Chopper and Monster Garage. A whole bunch of junk just like most people, but I've been trying not to watch as much of the tele.

Books:

Reading Good. The Sandman, Webster's College Dictionary(a great read if you get the chance and can stand reading a little history), The Gunslinger, Harry Potter ( I never thought I would read them, but I got hooked), Of Mice and Men, Cannery Row, The Pearl, Shel Siverstein stuff, The Polar Express, Maus, Frankenstein Any manly magazine, Come ta think bout it any feminine magazine too

Heroes:

Friends and family that have helped me through out the ride of life. My ma, and my dad did what they could, and I appreciate it so much. My Uncle Andy and Aunt Karen for taking me in when home was not bearable, and giving me a surrogate home. My Grandpa Poppy for teaching me that there's nothing wrong with hard work. My brothers for making me laugh and my sister for being strong willed, the chick is seriously cut throat and knows how to get stuff taken care of. Mr. T, Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, Fedor Emelianenko, John Steinbeck, Neil Gaiman, Dave McKean, Mirko Filipovic, Robert Rodriguez, Paul Rusesabgina, Morgan Freeman, Clint Eastwood, Bas Rutten. There are more but these are just a few that inspire me in some way shape or form

I just read a graphic novel called Pride of Baghdad.  It got quite a bit of hype, and it's easy to see why.  Heads up though, if you don't like sad stories, you might wann...
