My name is Travis and I'm glad you were able to find me.
This all began when I was at Super Target one afternoon and found a program called MAGIX MUSIC MAKER 10.
This was my first experience with digital music and file creation. I had trouble at first but after playing around a little I figured out the basic scematics of the program and started to create the first four tracks that I have on here now. The program can be limitless but the downside is that all of the beats are pre-made samples that I have just tweaked and put into a song format. I haven't created my own samples yet but I am learning and working on that as we speak. It is a lot harder with all virtual beat makers just because it takes more time to create the sounds you want but it is still an amazing program, and I am a long way from mastering it. I have purchased a simple mic for the cpu at wal-mart and have started recording my guitar and vocals.
My next step is to invest in some actual hands-on equipment. I am looking at the M box Mini as my next purchase. I have a copy of Fruity Loops 3 that I have started to learn how to use and this program is way more advanced than Magix. The difference is that Magix is more like a track and sample manipulator with built in synth's, and Fruity Loops has the OSC, LFO, Step Sequencer tools that you select which actual beat it will play on and the pattern in which it plays. There is a ton to learn in Production but I have began and I am happy with the results so far. I would like to go to school for sound engineering in the near future but we will see how that plays out. Until then I will keep creating here on my better than average Sony Vaio. I am going to get some new songs and info up within the next couple of months. So stay tuned.
