Dan is an accomplished music producer and film composer who, following a horrific grammatical accident, moved permanently into the third person in 1997. Having left Trinity College of music bound for a glittering career of sitting on his arse playing the classical guitar in his bedroom, he began writing music for film, establishing the music production company York Street Music, and by a freak coincidence, set up office in York Street, London. He scored his first feature film Second Generation in 2000 to critical acclaim in the West End, and the multi-national portmanteau feature Senses in 2002. Since then York Street Music has developed into a thriving centre of musical creativity, and Dan happily returned to sitting on his arse in his studio, making music across a broad range of genres.As a music producer, he has worked with and produced artists including renowned US rapper, Ralph Dog (Sony U.S.), UK hiphop stars Tefco (Black Pearl Entertainment), Stylah & Skeme, classical crossover singer Taly K (EMI), jazz singer Tina B (Elektra), Arabic superstar Ragheb Alama (EMI Arabia) and MySpace phenomenon Lisa Dee. He also writes and performs nationwide with his singer/songwriter sister Melinda Gareh (Anjunabeats). He is currently launching a record label with the Stuffed Animals Media group, which should be most enthralling. Dan also likes to monkey around on the decks and his collaboration with international DJ Tony Madden, The House Surgeons, has produced several fine club tunes tinged with electro-house goodness, and they will often be found beavering away in the studio remixing and producing more nutritious clubbing fodder for all you lovely people.Dan is somewhat chuffed that you have read all the way to the end of his blurb and hopes that he might have the chance to do the same for you one day.
