DJ Softball 4 Update
Monday, July 23, 2007
Hello Friends,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I will NOT be organizing the 4th Annual Chicago DJ Softball Tourney this year. The honest truth is that I am totally burned out. Beleive me, the event really means a lot to me and I've worked very hard to build it up to the level it was last year. This was a tough decision but its what's best for me right now.
With some help and a little luck, maybe...just maybe, we'll find a way to pull it off later in the Summer on a lower budget. Traditionally, it is held on the Sunday before Labor Day. I have already booked myself to be out of the country on that day. So there is NO WAY this event can happen on its usual date. The event takes 4 months to plan properly and can be thrown together half-assed in 2 months if need be. However, I just don't have the time and the energy to do it this year. The only way it can ever happen again is if I get several SERIOUS voluteers. People who know how to organize events, get sponsors, and promote.
I hope people aren't too disappointed and I'm sure it will be back soon. I know a lot of people look forward to it and are even counting on it. For that, I am deeply sorry.
You feedback and comments are welcomed.
