The brand new album "Destroy and Rebuild" is out now. 10 tracks of back to back realness and one of the most anticipated releases the London Hardcore scene has produced. This release has seen the band grow dramatically and step towards pastures new. Musically, it encompasses all the elements a good heavy album should. Crushing riffs, driving drums and catchy melodies but all with a difference. TRC have somehow put London on a CD as if it were some sort of alternative tourist guide. Many Hardcore bands include lyrics about “being real†and “staying true†yet their words are far from the truth. Lyrically is where TRC really shine. Issues covered are not the clichés of betrayal and giving someone a good kicking when there is no intention of really doing so. Instead TRC focus on things that matter to them and indeed, their surroundings.
Songs about the 7/7 bombings, being graffiti artists and going out for a night on the tiles in London aren't what you would expect from a typical hardcore band, but then TRC have never been that. In the past, it would have been too easy to just write a song about nothing but after a two month hiatus, Anthony and Chris (principle vocalists) sat down and discussed the bands new direction. They decided that even if it wasn't to everyone's taste, they would write about issues that they were involved with, or have been faced with and put pen to paper immediately. If the band were to be going out and performing these songs regularly, they wanted to write about something they could truly shout about. This new lyrical and musical direction is what has made this album the bands proudest moment to date.
Tours and promotional work will follow the release of this record to make sure "Destroy and Rebuild" gets the attention it truely deserves. And it will do...
